Apex Secure Tech (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides vape and air-quality detection devices and the Apex Secure Tech app for schools and other organisations. This policy explains what information we collect and how we handle it. We are committed to privacy-first monitoring.
What our devices do — and don’t do
Our sensors monitor environmental air conditions only. They do not contain cameras, do not record or store audio or conversations, and do not capture images or video. They measure air readings such as airborne particulate levels, air-quality indicators, temperature, humidity, and ambient noise level (in decibels — a number only, never a recording). The devices do not identify, track, or collect personal information about any individual.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide: name, email address, and password, used to log in and receive alerts.
- Device and sensor data: readings from your devices, device identifiers, the location names you assign, alert events, and timestamps.
- Technical data: app usage information, push-notification tokens, and basic connection information needed to deliver the service.
How we use it
To operate the service, send you alerts, maintain and troubleshoot devices, keep the service secure, and improve our products. We do not sell your information.
How we store and share it
Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption and access controls. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the service (under confidentiality obligations), or where required by law. We never sell or rent your data.
Retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then delete or de-identify it.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. Contact us at the address below.
Children
Our devices monitor environments, not individuals, and are not designed to collect personal information about students or children.
