Smoke alarms can't detect vape.
The Sentinel can.

Guests vape in rooms, you wear the deep clean and the lost night, and there's no proof to charge them. The Sentinel S1 alerts your team to the exact room in real time. No cameras, no audio recording, and it picks up cigarette smoke too.

What one vaped room actually costs.

Vape leaves a sweet residue on glass, fabric and bedding. The next guest notices, the room comes off sale to be turned around properly, and without evidence the smoking fee gets argued down to nothing.

Typical cleaning fee waived when the guest denies it and you can't prove otherwise

How it works.

Guest vapes or smokesPM2.5 and volatile compounds spike in the room. Temperature and humidity are checked too, so shower steam and deodorant don't trigger it.
Sentinel confirms itMultiple sensors cross-check before an alert is raised. Vape and cigarette smoke are both picked up.
Your team gets the roomA push alert names the exact room, timestamped, while the guest is still in it. Reading history is logged for every detector.
The fee gets chargedYou have a record, not a hunch. Housekeeping knows before checkout and the cleaning fee sticks.
One recovered cleaning fee pays for the unit.
Sentinel S1 is $375 a unit, and the software is $5 per detector a month on the Enterprise plan for 25 or more rooms, dropping to $4 at 200+. Most operators recover the hardware the first time a fee gets charged instead of waived, and everything after that is margin.

Built for the places cameras can't go.

The Sentinel has no camera and never records audio, so it can legally and comfortably sit in the rooms where the problem actually happens.

Guest rooms & suitesCeiling mounted, discreet, and reads as a smoke detector to guests. Alerts go to staff, not to the room.
Serviced apartmentsLonger stays mean more vaping indoors. Know which apartment, not just which floor.
Bathrooms & corridorsThe usual hiding spots. Alerts say where, never who.
Pubs & clubsToilets and gaming rooms. Staff act quietly instead of waiting for a complaint.
Holiday parks & cabinsKeep cabins fresh for the next family and charge the fee when it isn't.
Student accommodationHundreds of rooms, a young crowd, and a duty of care. One dashboard for the lot.

Easy on your IT and maintenance team.

InstallTwo screws in the ceiling. Powered by USB‑C or PoE from a standard 802.3af switch, so no power point needed.
Network2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi as standard, or a dual‑band 2.4 / 5 GHz model, on your guest or IoT network with a password, the same way your smart TVs are set up. Outbound only, negligible bandwidth.
RolloutBulk pairing from the app. A whole property can be commissioned in one session and every unit reports into one dashboard.
Multi-siteMulti-tenant admin, per-building structure and staff-level access. Head office sees everything, each property sees its own.
BackupInternal battery keeps it running for more than 6 hours if power drops. Tamper alert if it's pulled off the ceiling.
SupportAustralian owned and supplied, with an Australian support team. Full specifications on the specs page.

Questions hotels ask us.

Does it replace our smoke alarms?

No. Your fire safety system stays exactly as it is. The Sentinel sits alongside it and does the job smoke alarms can't, which is telling you someone is vaping or smoking in a room before it becomes a cleaning problem.

Does it detect cigarette smoke as well as vape?

Yes. Cigarette smoke drives the same particulate and chemical readings, so the one unit covers both.

Is it a privacy problem in guest rooms?

No. There is no camera in the unit, it never records or stores audio, and it can't identify anyone. It reports air quality readings for a location. That's what makes it suitable for rooms where cameras are off limits.

What does the guest see?

A small white ceiling unit that looks like a smoke detector. Alerts go to your staff, not into the room.

Can we trial it first?

Yes. We'll put a couple of units into one property and let the data speak before you commit to a rollout.

Put one in a room and see for yourself.
